Today’s Washington DUI story comes to us from the “it could happen to anyone” files.

The Seattle PI is reporting that a veteran WSP sergeant got himself into a bit of an automobile accident while having consumed alcohol. After his accident – he tried to get a rookie trooper to come “help him out” – no doubt hoping that he wouldn’t end up in cuffs.

Here’s the long and the short of it folks. Anyone – and I mean ANYONE – can make a simple mistake and get behind the wheel after having had one too many. However – it is an interesting statement about how draconian and harsh Washington DUI laws are that a State Trooper would try to cover things up rather than just deal with his mistake.
