As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I think it is part of my job to always stay on top of any and all changes in law and administrative code.

And there's a big one coming.

So big, in fact, that there are already constitutional challenges brewing.

Regardless - as of October 1, 2012, the fee for your Department of License administrative hearing will increase.

From $200 to $375.

That's an enormous increase! Especially considering that most states don't even charge for the administrative review of a DUI for a suspension.

It means that fighting your DUI just got that much more important to do right.

You need a skilled DUI attorney right now - so call Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter at 425-424-9401 for your free consultation!

This easily takes the cake of one of the most fun stories I've read in recent weeks.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that just after midnight on April 28, a man called 911 to report his Audi stolen. He reported the description of the car - and it's direction.

They found the Audi.

And inside the driver and his passenger - who happened to be the owner - who had called 911 moments before.

He'd done so because both of them were drunk and he didn't want either of them driving his car.

Needless to say - the driver was booked for DUI. The passenger was booked for making a false statement.

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney - I keep myself as open minded as I can when I hear my clients stories - but if you find yourself on the handcuffed end of a colossal mistake like this one - call
Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter for your free consultation NOW at 425-424-9401. We need to get started. Trust me.

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I try to keep you advised of any and all upcoming emphasis patrols. Easter weekend is not typically a holiday associated with
DUI drivers, but this year, Kent and King County are doing their own emphasis. The Kent Reporter is reporting that in addition to added patrols, they'll be visiting bars and taverns to educate.

If you're one of those picked up this weekend - you owe it to yourself to contact Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter at 425-424-9401 for your FREE CONSULTATION!

New DUI Law to be Signed

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I do my best to stay on top of changes in the
law of DUI. It's imperative that we know what the changing laws and standards are. And the Washington Legislature has changed things yet again. There is a new bill on Governor Gregoire's desk waiting to be signed.

This bill will make some significant changes to DUI Law. But the major ones are highlighted here for you.

1) Ignition Interlock Devices (if possible) will now need to have a camera installed so there is proof that it's you blowing into it.

2) DUI's amended to Reckless Driving will now get the benefits of day-for-day credit for their license suspensions.

3) DUI's amended to Reckless Driving will now be eligible for the Ignition Interlock License, if needed.

4) DUI's amended to non-DUI offenses will NOT be able to be vacated if any new alcohol violations are reported.

Some fairly big changes - some difficult, but some quite good for our clients.

If you have been charged with a DUI, you owe it to yourself to have an attorney who knows all of the laws and their changes - like Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter.

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I try to always advise you all when there are going to be extra
Target Zero DUI patrols - and any holiday - especially one involving alcohol - will create heightened enforcement.

The Kent Reporter indicats that the Target Zero squads will be out in force throughout King County from March 0 to March 18 this year. They hope to catch folks drinking at St. Patty's parties.

If you're going to one of these parties, and don't manage to designate a DD, make sure that if you get popped for DUI, you call Lynnwood DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter for your FREE CONSULTATION at 425-424-9401.

As a Lynnwood DUI Lawyer, I stay on top of the local patrols and give you all a heads up when we know they're coming.

The Tacoma News Tribune indicates that the yearly Super Bowl emphasis Patrols are back.

So - while you watch the Giants win over the Patriots (don't get upset - you know it's going to happen) - if you have too much to drink - stay home.

If you don't stay home - and get pulled over by one of Snoohomish County's DUI squads - call

I've been a Lynnwood DUI Attorney a long time, and seen a lot of strange things. But this one takes the cake, my friends.

The internal investigation of the Seattle DUI Squad is finally over, and it has revealed startling things about Sgt. David Abe.

The Seattle Times reports that Sgt. Abe was often leaving work early, and sometimes under the influence of medicine that made him "whacky". His police car - often wouldn't start because the battery was dead.

Okay - aside from my dislike of the spelling of "wacky" as "whacky" - this is astonishing to me. We've been putting people in jail based on the investigations of a squad who were rubber stamping the signature of a seargeant who half the time was either physically absent, mentally absent, or BOTH?

If you have found yourself the victim of unscrupulous police practices, you need a quality Lynnwood DUI Attorney like Jonathan Dichter - call for your FREE CONSULTATION at 425-424-9401.

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I've seen many people with
multiple DUIs on their plate. Regardless - this story regarding getting a second one is the most egregious I've ever seen.

The Pittsburgh Tribune reports that Robert Brodnick was release from his DUI arrest to a friend.

And was pulled over driving 15 minutes later - still drunk.

Maybe that's why we put Hailey's Law info effect.

If you find yourself getting more than one DUI in a night - you need help. Compassionate and relentless

As a Lynnwood DUI Attorney, I always keep myself appraised of the
DUI Emphasis campaigns going on - and there's not one that's more famous than the yearly
"Drive Hammered, Get Nailed" campaign that is coming back again this year!

What us Everett DUI Attorneys have known for years is now official.

The Washington State Patrol is really good at making DUI arrests.

Northwest Cable News is reporting that the WSP has been named the top North American law enforcement agency at making DUI Arrests by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

The State Patrol is great at investigating DUIs and getting them off the road. The problem is that they quite often make mistakes - as shown by the number of DUIs a skilled
Lynnwood DUI Attorney is able to get reduced or dismissed outright.

If you're accused of DUI - you owe it to yourself to talk to the best.

And a big one is in store, starting tomorrow.

Beginning tomorrow, getting arrested for DUI means your car will be towed and impounded for minimum 12 hours.

The Seattle PI reports that 12 hour mandatory impounds under Hailey's Law begins tomorrow.

There are, of course, exceptions to this requirement - but if you find yourself being released from jail after being booked for a DUI - with no car - you owe it to yourself to call

As an Everett DUI Attorney, I try to keep you all informed about what's going on out there in the world of law enforcement and DUIs.

And last week, the annual two-week statewide program targeting DUIs started - but it really ramps up this weekend through the Fourth of July.

Instead of just focusing on DUI hotspots, the WSP will be moving around roads throughout the counties and looking for intoxicated drivers.

As an Everett DUI attorney, I've seen people make silly mistakes when drinking. A lot.

But this woman takes the cake.

The Kitsap Sun reports that a 45 year old Seattle woman hid in the backseat of her boyfriends car. When he was arrested, she started screaming at the top of her lungs, using colorful terms, screaming insults, and was eventually booked on obstruction charges. Oh yeah - and she peed on the cops.

Was she drinking? You betcha.

Let's face it - making threats and using "colorful terms" is NOT a good idea. But urinating on officers is a felony.

If you have found yourself making a terrible mistake such as this - you need the best defense possible. Call Everett DUI Attorney Jonathan Dichter at 425-424-9401 for your FREE CONSULTATION NOW.
